Referral

|
Fundent has two separate but related
approaches to creating new patient relationships.
This page is dedicated to the Fundent Referral
Program (hereinafter FRP).
We strongly
believe that your best efforts in the area of
marketing are spent on building new relationships.
We refer to this as ‘relationship marketing’.
Intuitively, most people know this to be true.
However, it seems that many doctors’ lack the
necessary tools to create an opening to better make
this ‘relationship marketing’ work at an optimum
level. The following discusses how to use Fundent to
create new patients with the patients you see
everyday.
We call this the
Fundent Referral Program (FRP).

What is the FRP?
The
FRP is a tool that helps your good patients refer
you their friends and family members who are not
already part of your practice. By giving them the
proper marketing tools you will make their job
easier to do this and therefore get a better result.
Many times we take it for granted that our patients
would naturally send us their family members’ and
friends; but this is not true. We constantly need to
be asking our patients for their referrals. FRP
makes this naturally happen and creates a win-win
for all involved in the process.

Why use FRP?
Using FRP builds patient loyalty and promotes good
community relations with your practice. Both parts
of Fundent utilize a basic marketing technique to
attract friends and family to your practice. By
providing your existing patients with a gift
certificate for new patients only allows your
patient to easily talk to their family and friends
about you. In addition, the doctor now has the
opportunity to explain the other side of Fundent
that helps your patients support their own local
organization (Fundent Fundraising Program-FFP).
Overall, Fundent is about how your practice supports
your community. Fundent recommends that the doctor
put in place an annual recognition program as part
of the FRP. Here the doctor would choose a local
charity and make a contribution on behalf of all the
patients that have supported the doctors office over
the last year. For example, assume the doctor has
100 patient referrals over the last year. The doctor
might then make a contribution to a local charity
for $2,500 in honor of all those patients supporting
the doctor’s practice.

How does FRP work?
Doctor’s are already use to giving their patients a
few free items during their hygiene visit. The most
common item is a toothbrush. With FRP you will be
doing the same thing as patients come in and see
you. Included in the FRP dental kit are: a quality
toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss. In
addition, you will also be providing your patient a
referral gift certificate that is good for new
patients only. This gift certificate will be a
dollar amount determined to be appropriate for you.
The gift certificate will be good toward dental
services only and only for new patients. In effect
what you are doing is providing your client a means
to helping them help you. By giving them something
tangible you have made their job of
referring you new
patients easier. The FRP assures you the doctor
that your staff is constantly talking about
referrals. Additionally, it allows the doctor’s
office the opportunity to explain how they use
Fundent to support local organizations with FFP.
Fundent will
provide you the doctor 288 FRP dental kits per
order. In each of these FRP dental kits are a
toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, and any other
dental related product you may deem appropriate. The
highlight or essential marketing piece in the FRP
dental kit is a gift certificate for new patients
only redeemable at your practice for dental services
only in a dollar amount that you the dentist
determine with the help of Fundent.
Fundent programs are tied to supporting your
community. With FRP each year the doctor may make a
total contribution to a local charity of the
doctor’s choice based upon the number of referral
patients seen. For example, if the practice sees 100
new patients the doctor may make a contribution of
$25 per new patient or $2,500 to this local
charity/organization. The dollar amount of such
donation will be up to the doctor.

The
cost of being a FRP dentist
The
base cost of the first 288 FRP dental kits is $750
or $700 when ordered in conjunction with the Fundent
FFP program. Overall, Fundent is targeting a $5
return on your investment for each dollar spent with
Fundent. Fundent strongly believes the return on
your investment may be much stronger than other
marketing efforts and also more targeted to the type
of patient you are looking for in your practice.
